Whether it is Peter Griffin from “Family Guy” or your childhood favorite, the cute Elmo, Eric O’Shea has the perfect hilarious imitation of those characters.

Winner of the 2007 Campus Activities Magazine’s “comedy performer of the year” and a performer at the 2009 Creative Emmy Awards, O’Shea is set to fill the Pub with “LOLs”beginning  at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 6.

O’Shea’s work, such as his “song for commercials,” a creative outcome of his broadcasting background and his comic imagination, caught the eye and got rave reviews from Steven Spielberg and has received more than 3 million hits on YouTube.

Born and raised in New Haven, CT, O’Shea is a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, where he once hoped to play quarterback/wide receiver. Ironically, it wasn’t the Dallas Cowboys but his comedy shows that paid for college. However, his craze for football did earn him a degree in sports broadcasting at Marquette University in Milwaukee.

Comedy events are the most popular among the Duhawks, and CAB is expecting a good turnout this time, too. To add to the fun, CAB will be giving out free Elmo-themed pancakes at the event.

“I am thrilled that Eric O’Shea is coming to Loras; he is one of my favorite comedians and he is sure to keep the audience laughing all night,” said Amber Chambers, the comedy chair of CAB.

So put it on your calendar and get ready to laugh out all your week-long stress. Until then, when the going gets stressed, let the stress get going.
