Dubuque Police Officer Wounded in Shooting

UPDATE 3:50pm The Dubuque police are asking for anyone with information on this shooting to call the police department at 563-589-4415. No description has been given for the second suspect at this time.

3:23pm A Dubuque police officer was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg by a suspect at 2186 Central Avenue near Knickers Tavern in downtown Dubuque. The Dubuque police have confirmed that a police officer has been shot at this hour along with one of the two suspects.

The officers condition is listed as non-life threatening. The suspects condition is unknown at this time.

Officers are still on the scene.

Loras went on lock-down with all other area Dubuque schools briefly for 20 minutes this afternoon. The lock-down was quickly lifted.
